This Information Manual for Volunteers is designed to provide you with information about: the Museum of
Applied Arts and Sciences; its history, structure and procedures; the Museum’s volunteer program; and
the rights, responsibilities and benefits of our volunteers.
Recently the Powerhouse engaged a specialist legal firm, Moores to update our Child Safe Policy and Procedures. The policies are critical for anyone with direct contact with children such as Programs, Visitors Services, Volunteers, Human Resources, Communications and Marketing. It is important for all staff to understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to fostering safety, respect and inclusion for all children and young people.
